Buddy Programme Term 2

This term I am in Buddy Programme on a Friday. This is a post about what is going on in Buddy Programme and how I'm going with this.

Two things I have enjoyed are working with the Year 1's to help them with their learning and being creative with our groups ideas .

Two things I have found challenging are that there attention span is very short and because of that they don't listen to what we are doing and they also get distracted much easier than Year 7/8's .

Two things I would change about my teaching is some of the rules to make it a bit harder and to chose some different activities.

Leadership in the community 7

Yesterday we went to practice for the open day performance for Choir 🎶. We are  performing 3 songs. The songs we are singing are ; Purea Nei, Blue skies and Africa. We are performing these during the week . I look forward to going and performing for the open day. I am showing the CARE Values by turning up to all practices and am showing the Leadership traits because I am being trustworthy and showing integrity.

Careers Education C.V. Writing

Careers Education C.V. Writing

In CAREERS EDUCATION we have been learning to write a skills based Curriculum Vitae.

A skills based C.V. focuses more on the skills that we have,  rather than our work history.

Here is a link to our online Modelling Book that shows the process we have followed.

Three things that I have learned about writing a Curriculum Vitae are:

  1. You can't use your parents or family to have as your Referees.
  1. You need to write in full sentences  and be straight forward about you.
  1. You have to have quite a bit of information about yourself and you have to write 2-3 things about how you show that.

Here is a link to my Skills based Curriculum Vitae.

Homelearning Challenge 4

Today I completed another Home learning challenge. I did C6  organise a collection of old toys and/or clothes for charity. My chose charity was the Salvation Army. I donated a lot of stuff ! Here is what I donated.

I donated these today . I cleaned out my room and playroom and donated all my old and unwanted toys and clothes. Here is some pictures of me when I went to the Salvation Army.

This is a picture of me at the Salvation Army donating my things.

Homelearning Challenge 3

Today I have completed another Home learning challenge. I did A5 Redesign a room in your house, change the place of the furniture. Take before and after photos. The room I chose was my Playroom. I found this challenge quite hard because I wanted it to be a good , relaxing and easy to get around room. It started as a basic room and I took out things and added more spaces. I have added a small reading nook by shifting the angle of the couch and I can now watch TV from the couch. By shifting my desk I can now get more fresh air whilst doing colouring or home work. I have taken out most of my toys but left my favourite ones on the couch. I have also taken out my Lego.

We also helped out by staying in the library to help out a Year 4 class today at 1:30 after lunchtime. We also did this yesterday for a Year 2 class. We returned their books and their class books and issued new ones. After the class had left we tided the library and went back to class to do SML and art. We showed the CARE values by contributing to the wider school and showed the leadership trait of Integrity.
