Key leadership 3
Today is Tuesday I am looking forward to going o the library and doing my jobs. My favourite part about being a Librarian is scanning the books , renewing the books and returning books. Our job is to also close the library. Overall I look forward to going to the library at lunch .I showed the Leadership CARE VALUES because I contributed to my role by getting involved and I return the books to the appropriate place.
Home learning challenge 4
Last week I completed my 4th home leaning challenge. I had to choose a country and compare it to New Zealand . I chose the Netherlands . A difference is that New Zealand is a lot smaller than the Netherlands. A similarity is that both National animals are birds . New Zealands is the Kiwi and the Netherlands is the Black Tailed Godwit. I enjoyed this challenge.
Home learning Challenge 3
Last week I completed my 3rd home learning challenge . My challenge was to be inspired by an artist and create a self portrait . My art was inspired by Picasso. I enjoyed this challenge next time I am going to choose another artist to inspire me.

Leadership writing
In writing I have been learning to:
- use all basic punctuation independently
- attempt more complex punctuation (eg semicolons, colons, parentheses)
I have been especially focussing on using parentheses and commas. I have highlighted these in green where I have used them as well as other punctuation that I changed or added because it was used incorrectly or forgotten. Here is a piece of my writing that shows this.
Being goal focused is another key leadership trait . This means if you have a goal you will achieve it . Sir Edmund Hillary has also shown goal focused , he said he would do something and he did it . Sir Edmund Hillary achieved this because , he put his mind to it and was goal focussed.

Leadership Librarian Training #1
This week I found out that I am a Librarian . On Thursday we went to the Library and learnt that as a Librarian you need to know where the books are eg: where senior fiction , classics etc goes on the shelves. On Friday we put boxes behind the books so that the books wouldn't be right at the back of the shelf. I look forward to more practice and beginning to be a Leader.
Leadership in the community #1
Last Friday I got to go and help the new lunch monitors in the kitchen . Last year I was a lunch monitor . I enjoyed being a lunch monitor last year because it prepared me for more leadership. With the Year 6s I explained the rules, roster , jobs etc. Being able to help them was really fun . I enjoyed working with the Years 6s because they were all respectful and I hope to work with them again. I showed the Leadership CARE VALUES because I listened to their questions and I answered them the best I could.
