Introduction
Pandas are one of the top 10 most endangered species for 2016. People often ask what do pandas eat aside of Bamboo and leaves? Where do Pandas exactly live in China? What family do they belong to? Well I'm here to answer your questions.

Diet and Food
Pandas eat a combination of things including Bamboo, Bark, Leaves, some fruits and vegetables (mainly in zoos), grasses, rodents and sugar cane. These foods give pandas energy. Pandas use their paws to grab / pull the food off the trees or other animals. You can find Pandas eating fruit mainly in zoos.  Bamboo contains little nutrition.

Habitat
Pandas live in Shanghai China in grasslands and forests. Also found in North America and in zoos. Some things they need in the habitat : trees to climb up and sit in to look for danger. Branches and sticks to break, and and play on. The pandas sleeps in trees and bushes for protection. They like cool areas where they can play with bamboo leaves and sticks.

Appearance
Giant pandas have a unique appearance.Their white coat with black markings is unique, with black patches around the eyes Their thick black and white fur provides them for life in cool forests. and ears, black legs, and a black band around the shoulders sets them apart from others. Body length 120 -150 cm long. Hip height 52 - 77 cm. Pandas have cat like tongues. Giant Pandas are in found in the bear family.

Fun Facts
Wild pandas live up to 20 years old and Captive pandas can live up to 25 - 30 years.

There are about 1950 Pandas left in the world.

I hope you enjoyed learning about Chinas furry black and white Giant Panda.

    ************************************************************************************************

I have created a New Zealand Marine Habitat and included 3 creatures that live there, one endemic, one native and one introduced.

The Marine Habitat contains seaweeds, or marine algae (brown, green, red) and sea grasses which are the only marine flowering plants. New Zealand's Ocean contains animals such as Snapper, Hector's Dolphin and Sea Turtles. Marine covers %70 percent of the earth's surface.

The endemic creature I have included is Bigeye Yellow and Black Snapper Fish. The Bigeye Yellow and Black Snapper is a non mammal which means it has cold blood. Bigeye Yellow and Black
Snapper eat smaller fish than themselves. The Bigeye Yellow and Black Snapper is Carnivore which considers them meat - eaters. Bigeye Yellow and Black Snapper are also known as (Lutjanus lutjanus). Also known as Yellow snapper, Golden Striped Snapper and the  Rosy Snapper.   This fish belongs to the Snapper Family.

The Hector's Dolphin is quite a small Dolphin compared to others. One of the smallest marine dolphins in the world, Hector’s dolphins grow no more than 1.5 m in length. They are the only dolphins in New Zealand with a rounded black dorsal fin. Their bodies are a distinctive grey, with white and black markings and a short snout . Adult South Island Hector’s dolphins don’t often exceed 1.5 m in length and weigh between 40 and 60 kg. Males are slightly smaller and lighter than females. They are critically endangered.

My Introduced animals is the Marine Sea Turtle. Sea turtles, sometimes called marine turtles. These introduced Turtles eat algae
Depending on the species, sea turtles may be carnivorous (meat eating), herbivorous (plant eating), or omnivorous (eating both meat and plants). The jaw structure of many species is adapted for their diet. Green sea turtles have finely serrated jaws adapted for a vegetarian diet of sea grasses and algae. A Sea Turtles is in the Cheloniidae.

The Bigeye Yellow and Black Snapper , Hector's Dolphin and Marine Sea Turtle all live in the New Zealand Marine Habitat.

Classify groups of species in the living world and describe different habitats.

I cannot identify objects/ideas associated with groups of species in the living world and I need help to group them and link them to their habitat.

I can identify one relevant group within the groups of species in the living world and 1 habitat they live in.

I can identify 1 animal in a species group and the habitat it lives in.

I can identify several relevant groups and or subgroups within the groups of species in the living world.
I can identify several animals from species groups and the habitats they live in.

I can give reasons why they live in this habitat
I can identify several animals from species groups and the habitats they live in.  I can give reasons why they belong to this group.

I can identify several animals from species groups and the habitats they live in.  I can give reasons why they belong to this group.
I can give reasons why they live in this habitat.
I can look at these animals and habitats in a new way by showing my understanding through the art of Collage and a written description.
Effective Strategies

1 animal, plant and aspect of habitat
3 or more animals, plants  and aspects of the habitat
